That doesn't give Hancock any special expertise though. His background is in telling a story and making it interesting, and too bad if the facts get in the way.

It gives him solid investigative journalistic tools, and frankly the same critique of fact-sifting to point was made of Sitchin, so...

Is there something else about him that bothers you?

I thought he was more than interesting (multiple appearances) in long form on Joe Rogan:

As Jimmy Church would say, "Gobeklitepi baby!"

It's been an interesting little procession - with your familial evangelical background I suspect we're in for a stimulating ride.

I wish my headspace was in this, better, place. I've been stuck on the Michael Decon fiasco. Hopefully I can catch up and engage the points that strike me later down the line.

As you once advised me, don't worry, it'll all still be here when you get more time. :)

Why does he always say that?

Why does he always say that?

It's his version of "Roswells, Art..." that totally insider, breezy, means nothing, secret code phrase that lets fans think they're in
"the club".

In reality it means next to nothing - commensurate with our actual knowledge of what The Gobeklitepi site was used for.

There is archelological proof that these installations were not used for domestic use, but predominantly for ritual or religous purposes. Subsequently it became apparent that Gobeklitepe consists of not only one, but many of such stone age temples. Furthermore, both excavations and geo magnetic results revealed that there are at least 20 installations, which in archeological terms can be called a temple. Based on what has been unearthed so far, the pattern principle seems to be that there are two huge monumental pillars in the center of each installation, surrounded by enclosures and walls, featuring more pillars in those set-ups.
