Well I based that on the $500K/yr figure people throw around when mentioning Noory's salary. I would be surprised if this number hadn't been re-negotiated at the last contract signing, seeing that Premiere has been teetering on the brink of bankruptcy for the past year. They could ditch Noory and offer Syrett $250,000 Canadian($567.67 US)

The maths on that seem sound, and it's not like we haven't a long and somewhat checkered history of poaching Canadian talent - Peter Jennings being one of the nicer catches back in the day.

So I'm willing to allow it, as long as no one substitutes with Alan Thicke... ;)

Here's a tangential oddity as these things go - how is it that the entirely more talented Dave Scot gets 2nd tiered down on KONR and "Spooky Tim" who touches no bases for my ear, is elevated to MITD's main seat?

I suppose pre-existing contractural entanglements must be involved, but Keef is a fool amongst fools to not cash his Bart chips on on Dave, whatever the payoff needs to be.
