Nothing about a vibe, just that he's a liar and really weird and pretentious in person.

I was watching his little scooter ride from CITD this year - quite the Spicoli he is...

In a serious mood:

Those woo-woo cons fascinate me but not the because of the content. Arent they pretty pricey? Who would pay hundreds(?) of dollars to sit for hours on end in some shitty convention hall to hear the usual suspects shit out the same prattle they give away on YT/radio for free? I just dont get it. It might make an interesting mockumentary

It's pretty fascinating just to be there to be honest with you. It's something that also made me think jesus, they are just raking in money hand over fist at these places. The talk circuit is big bucks my friends. Re-hashed content that is free on youtube, was my initial thoughts when I first acknowledged the price of admission. Not to mention, certain "key speakers", also have their own little shindigs where they rake in hand over first. Not a bad gig i'd say, but i have contemplated about all of it many times. The environment is what's cool. You get to see all walks of life ..... like a super wal-mart.

Thats kinda what I thought it would be like, a herd of Falkies. I remember reading the 2012 guy with the big forehead would show up at these with armed guards like 'they' were after him to silence him. Laughable LARPing bullshit. Easy money though, probably paid in cash under the table, no taxes.

Haha ... If you ever decide to go you will literally see a herd of the sort of people. You know people that you'd find on a art bell message board lol. Not only that ... You will see some of the speakers walking around there parading around. Truly amusing stuff.

I see you are referring to Steven Greer, he shows up with body guards, that's completely hack... Nobody gives a fuck about him to actually try and take him out.

Yup, Completely unnecessary there is no reason to do that other than when he wants to give off the impression that he is as important as a governor.

Youre right it was Greer and also David Wilcock at the 2013 CITD I was thinking about. I found the article where I read about this in the first place Some higlights:

"William Henry tells a horrifying story of imprisonment of the audience at the Contact in the Desert Conference August 9--11. He says that David Wilcock came with a bodyguard, and that Steven Greer arrived with a whole group of bodyguards, who proceeded to lock the doors and allow nobody in our out during his presentation. If this happened, it was illegal, and we urge all UFO conference attendees to demand that they not be imprisoned during any performance for any reason"

"Greer showed up with armed guards with "black ops security" written on their shirts. Wilcock not only had guards, he had a with him!! Can you believe that? Anyhow, it was truly a fiasco....every bit of it."

This is some slimey carny shit. Whats even more unbelievable is that most of them have been at it 20+ yrs and even though theyve been exposed multiple times Wilcock(2012 ring a bell?) and Greer(free energy and moth/alien-watching scams) still manage to make a living peddling their shit

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2015/05/29/contact-in-the-desert-ufos-aliens-extraterrestrials/28186799/
Andrews said this spot was chosen, at least in part, because of its long history of UFO sightings.

"We think the likelihood of someone having a sighting, or having an encounter, are higher here than anywhere else," Andrews said.
