What is it about this show that inspires such vitriol? As a host shes not that great but neither is Noory, Jimmy Church, Connie Willis but none of them cop the amount of shit she has. Why does she trigger so many people?

That is a good question that could probably form the basis of a dissertation on group psychology.  My own pitifully shallow take is that it has little to do with Heather herself and more to do with the collective guilt of the bellgab universe over having birthed this monster, blended with rage over Art's almost-ritual abandonments, playing Medea to Art's Jason.

DING!

So if one runs a cyber-bullying and personal derision academy (whose target used to be its namesake Art!) how is it that graduation of a student from cyber to meat space is a tribulation poor MV can't come to grips with?

He was explicitly proud of dicking around in Art's personal life, took personal credit for one or more of his returns to the air, then goes all wobbly because his first graduate to the big leagues turns out to be as skull fucked as the rest of his emporium of obsessors?

The hypocrisy stinks like:

Haha I have a totally different perception of MV and his motives.  I think there's a good chance the bellgab shutdown, which happened right when Bart was threatening Heather's show with the whole music-license thing, was due to disgust at the level of persecution to which he was playing host and a desire to wash his hands of the consequences to what was, once, a friend -- he was on her frequent-caller list, recall.  He brought bellgab back once her new show was up and running.

It's a blind shot in the dark but, timeline-wise, those are the clear reference points.

I cant figure out what the endgame is. Do they want the show cancelled? Usually a parasite has the courtesy not to kill the host. Endlessly flog her with their laundry list of complaints?  Unfortunately my spidey senses tell me this is going to get ugly. I think that's why Barts trying to distance himself from certain people, so that when the shit hits the fan there won't be as muchblowback on him and Schrowland

Your spidey senses are sharper than mine, then -- to me there's been a marked lowering of the temperature with this iteration of her show.

I don't really think there is an endgame.  It's like a bar with a dartboard -- why would you want it taken down?  Most of the conversation on the gabs has nothing to do with Heather, but people might pick up a handful of darts if the conversation lags or they're bored and have nothing else to say.

There are always a couple people who are really into it but they generally get laughed at behind their backs.

Fair enough - just as long as you don't cast this as a binary selection.

I think we can agree on the guilt trip aspect of MV's wildly disproportionate reaactions to her and those who would defend her right to broadcast as a strong part of the bi-forum Heather-opathy.

That said, has MV expressed any dismay at launching Anthony onto the world...Groyper, the hideous psychic vampire Brig?

I mean the list of known sociopaths birthed at Ballgrab is hardly constrained by Heather's activities, albeit the "fame" she was gifted sets her apart...for now...

As for the notion MV has "friends" in all this  - you may have copied the mail on his brutal putdowns of Starr - by his own words, no one has any friends on the internet.

And yet he does have something else - FAVORITES.

Cogitate on that discontinuity a bit.

BZZZNNNT!!!!

Wrong.

Are you serious? 7,600+ pages in at catladygab and multiple threads and youtube splatter at ballgrab?

I mean seriously, what DO you think constitutes the daily top threading in either venue?

Wow, thought you were a bit more wakey wakey than that...

I'm sorry K-Dubb, but your perceptions are utterly incorrect as to the depth, frequency, and bulk volume of this. Additionally you have at least a half dozen Heather obsessing FB groups back-linked through either forum and actively engaging in gaslighting her.

Fail.

Great catch Azz, something I've had to wrestle with in my own decisions as to whether to stay "in-character" or branch past the 'Sybil' aspects of role-playing and simply do it straight, as much as possible.

In fact I made an apology to Sofia/Monica/14/16/Tangerine for blowing her off as just some trite Avatar-ish cartoon drama character when in fact she's a relentlessly honest person with an immensely complicated life of her own, parts of which we get to do some forum Berg-busting with.

Last night however she was a no-show (literally) and the cat ladies are in a total tizzy led by Little Sean and his rapidly escalating rhetoric:
