But you're right Azz, one need not meditate formally if stillness can be found, embraced in quiet contemplation at the beach, park, or even in thoughtful work.

Think of it along the lines of the hypnagogic state which we all exist in. Also known as waking hypnosis. The trance that allows us to drive to and from work without ever recalling what was on the road or how we got there. That's an hypnotic state.

Meditation ( which is not hypnosis) can also be accomplished while active:

Active meditation is a great way to factor some zen time into a busy day. Itís also the ideal way to meditate if youíre the type of person who canít sit still for too long. A couple of years ago, I did a Vedic meditation course. Itís an ancient type of meditation that requires you to sit still for 20 minutes, once in the morning and again in the afternoon. Itís highly effective, but I wasnít able to stick with it in the long run because life got in the way. When I was meditating, however, the benefits were incredibleóI was more focused, less overwhelmed by life, work pressure or my inbox groaning under the weight of so many unread emails.
I felt lighter, calmer, and less on edge.

Luckily, itís possible to reach a meditative state when youíre in motion. I know this only too well. I was running the Copenhagen marathon in 2014 and I wonít go into details, but letís just say from mile two onwards I needed the toilet badly. My tummy wasnít right and even though a bartender let me use the facilities, I couldnít shake the need to go as I progressed along the race course. Then, the heavens opened. Every time I ran, I needed to go to the toilet, but walking in heavy rain, sodden through, was miserable. And so I focused on my breath and repeated the mantra just keep going over and over. I was in such a zone that I couldnít hear the playlist that was blaring in my ears or feel the rain pelting down. I just focused on putting one foot in front of the other, breathing and repeating my mantra.

Of course, weíre not all running marathons with dodgy stomachs, but life can be pretty overwhelming at times and while we donít all have the time to sit still and meditate, it is possible to be more mindful on the move. I spoke with two meditation experts Adreanna Limbachósenior teacher at NYC meditation studio MNDFL and Karunesh Bodhi, an Osho meditation facilitatoróto find out how we can incorporate active mediation into our day to day.

YOU may already be meditating and merely chafing at a the formal definitives presented. Be it biofeedback (Muse) or observation meditation (FHU) or breath counting (Yoga) or mantra (TM) there are many paths to quelling the noisy internal dialog and entraining the left and right hemispheres to function as one.

You get this, obviously. Nice podcast!

 :)

But is the "devil" a "screen icon" selling gluttony and all manner of sins, as opposed to Lucifer himself,  the light bearing angel? I find it well nigh impossible to take Crowley or LaVey's word on anything Azz, they were indeed tools of the dark side and as such they are compelled to lie to any and all.

Is there meaning in life?

Yes.

Is it usually what we personally wanted or can enjoy?

Not always.

As to the Q'ran:

https://www.xyz.net.au/mohammed-was-a-pedophile/

Quote
That Mohammed was a pedophile is not seriously disputed. It is not an opinion. Itís a fact. The Hadiths say clearly that Mohammed would fondle Aisha when she was a little girl (Bukhari 6:298), that he married her when she was 6 and consummated the relationship when he was 54 and she was 9 (Bukhari 7.62.88).

We call someone who does that a pedophile, and put them in prison. In Islamic societies, such practices are customary. The Koran states that Allah himself considered Mohammed to be the ideal man (Koran 68:4, 33:21).

Is it any surprise then to us that Islamic enclaves within Western societies have problems with pedophilia and child marriage?

It has become increasingly obvious that traditional Islamic culture is not compatible with the secular liberalism of the postmodern West, let alone the Christian foundations of our civilisation. The cultural Marxists have only been able to pretend that Muslims could seamlessly fit into the multikulti sludge our societies are becoming by using the power of the state to prevent us speaking truths about Islam and the culture it creates.

Since the New Left hippies conquered the culture and the Boomers threw away their heritage on the New Age hopium that maybe all of history was just a misunderstanding, Christians have been on the back foot in the public space.

And despite all these outrages, all these sacrileges and desecrations of our cultureís bedrock religious belief system, we Christians donít riot. We donít get violent. We donít drive over little kids with trucks.

Imagine there's no trucks
Rather than re-evaluate their universalist cult, the left always double down.
And neither should we. What we must do, however, is stop self-censoring when it comes to speaking the truth about the neo-Marxist ideology of those who rule us and the religions of those they have weaponised against us.

The calendar of saints in the cult of Western Marxism must be immune no more to criticism and scorn if we are going to have the free and open culture the New Left used to pretend to argue for. Martin Luther King was an alcoholic, wife-beating Marxist who loved having orgies with white women. Gandhi liked to sleep naked with his great-granddaughter, ate faeces and had views toward Africans akin to a KKK member. Marx was a drunken layabout who used his bourgeois status to father an illegitimate son with his maid, whom he ignored. Allen Ginsberg was a lifelong advocate for homosexual pedophilia. Obama was a gay cokehead in college, according to former classmates. And Hillaryís a murderous dike [no citation needed].

These are the talking points conservatives should have been using for the last 50 years to fight back against the leftís cultural revolution. Instead, the cucks on the fake right have provided a rearguard action for the leftist vanguard, holding the gains of the Marxists of a generation before.

Sensate or conscious thought?

Now consider Azz, are hallucinations really so different from creative visualizations? Is the athlete any less a visionary than the painter? Or do they work from the same tool set - creating in the mind, then forcing the body to perform/actualize the vision in the physical realm?

I think this podcast is fascinating too!

Heidi's right, of course, lol... ;)

All I asked Spooky (and Heidi) was why she finds value in being part of a stalker culture, that's it...

That was the awful, artless hammer of my Socratic inquiry, oh well..the question yet hangs like a pregnant ? over the twin gabs.

Such a simple question, such a trVthful question that in due time Aquarias divorced herself from Bart's stalker culture, never once deigning to cite my ban questions as elemental in her rettrat. One might think that DynaX, Mrs. C, Angie, and a few others have had their wakey wakey moments percolated through my simple old drip pot...

Bit I digress, your podcast amigo - yes VC (as you will see from the old Weiner post I revived) is still at it, still the most negative cop ever to be thrown off the force for tampering with evidence..uh huh...just ask him what happened after he sorted the evidence locker... :o

Where did you get a copy of the book? Is it available online?

Wowzers! So that's what that nifty contraption is! A "brain sensing headband". Whatever next!

But you're right Azz, one need not meditate formally if stillness can be found, embraced in quiet contemplation at the beach, park, or even in thoughtful work.

It was never my intention to downplay the positive effect that meditation has on many people's lives - but I know you know that I was simply exploring other ways of finding stillness and peace

Think of it along the lines of the hypnagogic state which we all exist in. Also known as waking hypnosis. The trance that allows us to drive to and from work without ever recalling what was on the road or how we got there. That's an hypnotic state.

Not sure.

Oh, most certainly.

*genuflects and makes the sign of the cross*

As to the Q'ran:

https://www.xyz.net.au/mohammed-was-a-pedophile/

Oh, true. I never meant to excuse the behaviour of a kiddie fiddler by any stretch. I just meant, that if you read the Qur'an there are some similarities ... albeit somewhat slim in specific places.

Would a loving God build a planetary one room schoolhouse for the incarceration of so many souls at so many divergent evolutionary and ethical and sexual precipices?

Now that's the question ... to which I have NO ANSWER.

Is the physical realm the doing of other darker forces, forces determined to cull the wheat from the chaff from souls confined to a wasting meat tube of suspect spinal origins?

Very possibly so, yes.

Sensate or conscious thought?

sensate
/ˈsɛnseɪt,ˈsɛnsət/

adjective

perceiving or perceived by the senses.
"the sensate world"

Had you ever heard of this word before today? I hadn't!

Now consider Azz, are hallucinations really so different from creative visualizations?

I definitely know, from my own experience that hallucinations appear as real as the rest of the physical world does to me. It's not an in-between, translucent, or apparition type thing at all ... whereas, creative visualisations are a more positive force, and not as imposing, and fear inducing.

Unfortunately, upon deeper reflection, the man who wrote that article on Quora seems to be trying to frame something terrifying as something that can be disregarded, or used constructively, when the angst and pain associated with a horrifyingly vivid hallucination is anything but easy to disregard. It is as imposing as a pair of Jehovah's Witnesses at the front door. The only difference being: the hallucination won't run away when you draw your gun and say "get off my porch".

Is the athlete any less a visionary than the painter?

Great point. No, I believe they are interchangeable, to a degree. Different sides of the same coin.

Or do they work from the same tool set - creating in the mind, then forcing the body to perform/actualize the vision in the physical realm?

Yes! Yes.

I think this podcast is fascinating...

I'm glad you enjoyed it, buddy.

I get a lot out of your feedback.
